DebtonNet
was originally promoted by Infrastructure Leasing & Financial
Services Ltd (IL&FS) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Currently
the DebtonNet project is domiciled in IL&FS Investsmart Ltd, a
subsidiary of IL&FS. The major shareholders of IL&FS are Unit
Trust of India (UTI), Central Bank of India, Housing Development Finance
Corporation (HDFC), State Bank of India, Orix Corporation, Japan, International
